BERLUSCONI CONFIRMS SALE OF IBRAHIMOVIC AND SILVA TO PSG

Sweden striker Ibrahimovic and Brazil defender Silva have been linked with a 62 million euro joint deal to join the big-spender French club PSG, with former Italian premier Berlusconi admitting the financial offer was too good to refuse.

"Yes, I have sold Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to PSG. We'll save 150 million euros in two years," Berlusconi told Sky Sports 24.

It said the final details of the sale had not been agreed but the two players would move on for around €65m (£51.5m).

The signings continue the summer recruitment drive of PSG, backed their new Qatari owners, as they look to land the Ligue 1 title and make an impact in the Champions League.

They have already brought in Argentina striker Ezequiel Lavezzi from Napoli.

The pair's departure will leave a significant hole in the Milan squad, though, which has already lost experienced players like Mark van Bommel.
